Infertility is defined as a medical condition by the World Health Organisation.  The cause is around 40% female factor, 40% male factor, and 20% either a joint issue or the cause is unknown.  Medical causes of infertility are many and varied.  Here we consider some of the most common conditions leading to subfertility in New Zealanders:
