Wellington Support Volunteers

Wellington

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of others experiencing fertility challenges? We have several vacancies for Support Volunteers in the Wellington Region and we want to hear from you.

At Fertility New Zealand (Fertility NZ), we walk alongside all people facing fertility challenges. One of the ways that we do this is through in-person and online support groups. We have vacancies in the Wellington region for a Support Volunteer, Social Media Wizz and Email Coordinator to help run the Wellington in-person support group.

Support Volunteer:
The role of a Support Volunteer is incredibly rewarding. The focus is on helping others and offering much-needed support in the community. Attending a support group can dramatically change the experience of infertility for people and ‘lighten the load’ through reducing feelings of isolation. In this role, you will facilitate peer support connections and positive, constructive dialogue with the support of Fertility NZ. This is not one-on-one support.

The time commitment of this role is 3-5 hours per month; the more energy and initiative that go into this role, the greater the benefits are to Wellingtonians with fertility challenges.

Social Media Wizz:
Our Wellington team are seeking a Social Media Wizz to assist the team by sharing posts, creating events and engaging with our group. We’re looking for someone who is a creative thinker with excellent attention to detail, understands the target audience and has a finger on the pulse with social media. You will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and an interest in data analysis. You will be a team player who provides feedback to the team and Support Coordinator.

The time commitment of this role is 1-2 hours per week.

Email Coordinator:
An email coordinator is responsible for checking the inbox regularly, managing the inbox, replying to emails and forwarding any support emails to the Support Coordinator. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.

The time commitment of this role is 1 hour per week.

If you're passionate about giving back to your community and have lived fertility experience or charity work experience, we want to hear from you!

Full training is provided, and ongoing training is a Health and Safety requirement.

This is a great opportunity to build your skills while making a positive impact. Join our team today and help us achieve our mission of walking alongside all people facing fertility challenges.

Don't wait. Apply now to volunteer with us - send your CV and an email/cover letter to Kate Barby at info@fertilitynz.org.nz.
