Nelson Support Volunteer Needed
Nelson
Fertility New Zealand walks alongside all people facing fertility challenges; we do this by providing in-person support and information to people experiencing fertility issues. We are looking for supportive volunteers to grow our team in Nelson.
Are you looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of others experiencing fertility challenges? We have a vacancy for a Support Volunteer in the Nelson region.
At Fertility New Zealand (Fertility NZ), we walk alongside all people facing fertility challenges. One of the ways that we do this is through in-person and online support groups. We are growing our Nelson support team, and we currently have a vacancy for a Support Volunteer to help run the Nelson in-person support group.
The role of a Support Volunteer is incredibly rewarding. The focus is on helping others and offering much-needed support in the community. Attending a support group can dramatically change the experience of infertility for people and ‘lighten the load’ through reducing feelings of isolation. In this role you will facilitate peer support connections and positive, constructive dialogue with the support of Fertility NZ. This is not one-on-one support.
The time commitment of this role is 3-5 hours per month; the more energy and initiative that go into this role, the greater the benefits are to Nelson'ers with fertility challenges.
If you're passionate about giving back to your community and have lived fertility experience or charity work experience, we want to hear from you!
This is a great opportunity to build your skills while making a positive impact. Join our team today and help us achieve our mission of walking alongside all people facing fertility challenges.
Full training is provided, and ongoing training is a Health and Safety requirement.
Don't wait. Apply now to volunteer with us - send your CV and an email/cover letter to Kate Barby at info@fertilitynz.org.nz.
