Endometriosis Research

Cognition and Electrophysiological Biomarkers in Women with Endometriosis

This study is the very first of its kind, aiming to objectively measure cognition (thinking abilities) among women affected by endometriosis. Our ultimate goal is better to understand the cognitive profiles of women with endometriosis to empower and enhance their quality of life.

Participate and make a difference: The University of Otago is looking for endometriosis participants to join us in this research. Your contribution will involve some cognitive tests and wearing an EEG cap (a bit like a swimming cap) and it is a fantastic opportunity to advance our understanding of endometriosis. Tests are carried out in the William James Building.

Why is this research vital? Endometriosis affects millions of women worldwide, and its symptoms can be challenging to manage. By delving into the cognitive aspects, we hope to provide a deeper insight that will lead to more effective treatments and support.

If you or someone you know with endometriosis are interested in participating and contributing to a worthy cause, please contact Ashlee Berryman at ashlee.berryman@otago.ac.nz.
