Fertility NZ hosted a webinar on 25 February 2020 entitled 'Communicating my child's donation/surrogacy story with confidence'.

Presented by Professor Ken Daniels and Counsellor Fiona McDonald, the session included a discussion from Ken and Fiona on the topic, followed by questions & answers.

Key messages included the importance of parents' confidence with messaging, and framing as a 'family story' rather than 'how you were created'.

Our Donor Conception & Surrogacy Network welcomes anyone considering, currently in the process of, or having already created whānau with the help of donors and surrogates.  It is a Facebook group for sharing ideas and peer support.  The group is moderated by eight 'Mentors' who have walked various paths to build their families and want to support others.  Screening questions apply.
