Participate in a Research Study on Fertility Hormone Tracking Apps
Isabel is a Master's student in Psychology at Massey University, currently undertaking a research project focused on the use of fertility hormone tracking apps by people who are trying to conceive.
Her study explores the experiences of individuals using Proov, a new generation technology that combines a urine detection wand with an app to monitor progesterone levels, a key hormone in the conception process. Isabel is particularly interested in understanding what it’s like to closely monitor these hormone levels, and what kinds of thoughts, emotions, and experiences may arise during the two-week wait to find out if pregnancy has occurred.
“Having personally experienced fertility challenges, this research is especially meaningful to me. My own journey led me to work in peer support roles, where I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside others on their fertility paths. Through this, I’ve seen firsthand the emotional highs and lows people face, and I hope this study contributes positively to those who are trying to conceive.”
