Seeking participants for the Auckland pilot of our new programme designed to optimise fertility through fitness, nutrition and wellness
Research shows that being overweight can decrease fertility for both men and women. There are other controllable factors that also impact fertility - like diet, alcohol and smoking. Fertility NZ is partnering with the YMCA and Pharmaco NZ Ltd in a pilot exercise and lifestyle improvement programme called Jumpstart. So much about infertility is out of your control, and the Jumpstart programme is a great way to take some of that control back and make positive changes to your health and wellbeing.
Jumpstart is a fun health and fitness programme that we are trialling with people with diagnosed fertility issues or potential trouble conceiving a pregnancy. It’s also suitable for people who just want to get in shape for pregnancy and parenthood! Jumpstart is designed to help you lose weight, feel better, get the right nutrition and more energy, live a more healthy, balanced life with the aim of optimising your fertility.
We are running a 10‐week JUMPSTART PILOT programme at YMCA Mt Albert starting Monday 19 August 2019.
It’s a friendly non-threatening environment where you can do something positive about your weight and health. You’ll enjoy personal support and encouragement, specialised group or individual workout options as well as regular feedback on how you’re doing from YMCA staff. Your Jumpstart Champion will help you develop and monitor your goals during the 10 week programme.
The cost will be $80.00 per person for the 10 week programme, including all group and one-on-one sessions. Feel free to bring your partner, whanau member or support person along – it is open to both women and men.
To enquire about the Jumpstart Pilot beginning 19 August 2019, contact Charlotte on 0800 333 306 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Privacy note: your reason for attending the programme (fertility) will only be known to the Jumpstart Champion, who will support you with one-on-one meetings throughout the 10 weeks. Group sessions may include Jumpstart - diabetes participants.
